Waterproof tiles and grout in shower recesses without having to remove the tiles.

Product: Bondall ShowerTite

Surface Preparation:

  • Remove any silicone sealant strips and soap build up. Clean mould off tiles and grout using Bondall Moss & Mould Terminator or bleach. Rinse thoroughly with water, after cleaning.
  • Remove and patch all loose or missing tile grout. For improved quality use Bondall Hydrocrete as an additive in the grout.
  • Shower should be dry for approximately 12-24 hours before applying ShowerTite.

Application:

  • ShowerTite should be tested on a small section of tile and grout to gauge for any discolouration that may occur.
  • Application should start from the top of the wall, brush ShowerTite liberally over tiles and grout. Finish with the shower base. Ensure that ShowerTite is applied thoroughly to all surfaces.
  • Allow at least 15 minutes for the first application to react, before repeating the entire area.
  • Allow at least 15 minutes for the second application to penetrate then use a dry cloth to wipe off any excess left on the tile surface.
  • Allow ShowerTite to dry for 24 hours before using the shower.

Thinning

Not required.

Coverage

Bondall ShowerTite will treat approximately 5 square metres depending on the texture, porosity and method of application. A 500ml can is sufficient to do one standard shower recess.

Drying Time

Bondall ShowerTite should be allowed to remain on the surface after the second application until dry for at least 15 minutes and then polish off the surface with a clean soft cloth. Allow 24 hours before using.

Clean Up

Clean all equipment up with water. Do not pour contents or washings down drains or sinks. Dispose as per your local council regulations.

Colour

Clear liquid.

Precautions/ First Aid

Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear gloves and protective clothing. Ensure area is well venti- lated by opening window and using extractor fan. If swallowed contact a doctor or the Poison Information Centre on 13 11 26 immediately and give a glass of water to drink, do not induce vomiting. If it comes in contact with eyes flush with water and seek medical attention. A Material Safety Data Sheet is available on request. Do not store in conditions above 45°C.
