APPLYING ONTO UNTREATED TIMBER
Product: Monocel All Purpose Timber Sealer
Surface Preparation:
Surface preparation is important. All surfaces to be coated with All Purpose Timber Sealer should be clean and dry, free from wax, oil, grease and other contaminates.
New dressed timber should be fine sanded and then thoroughly dusted prior to application of the sealer coat, this includes filling any holes. It may be necessary to wipe the surface down with a mild sugar soap solution prior to coating it.
TEST AREA: Always test on a small inconspicuous area, to ensure that the product is achieving the desired result, prior to ap-
plication over the entire area.
Applications:
• Stir well before and during use. DO NOT SHAKE the contents as shaking will produce bubbles, which may become
trapped on the surface.
• Apply first coat direct from the container by brush, roller or spray. Allow to dry for 30 minutes before applying a second
coat.
• Allow 1-3 hours drying before top coating.
• Apply each coat neat and evenly. Proper penetration of the first coat is very important.
• Should only one coat be applied check for beading of water to indicate the coating is effective.
