Bondall Polbond 4000

Bondall Polbond 4000 is an industrial grade PVA designed to give a high strength bond for a variety of timbers (soft and hard wood) including man-made wood particularly particle boards, chipboard, plywood and Medium Density Fibreboard.

Bondall Polbond 4000 is excellent for dowelling, joinery, laminating, veneering and cabinet or furniture making.

Sizes:

20L pails and 200L drums. Larger upon request.

Surface Preparation

Ensure surface is dirt and grease free. Apply direct from container to one surface only. Press surfaces together and lightly clamp. Wipe excess adhesive away with a cloth.
Bondall Polbond 4000 should be kept away from metal as contamination iron could lead to discolouration in combination with some timbers. Applicators made from stainless, bronze or aluminium is in order.
Bondall Polbond 4000 is supplied ready for use by hand or machine which can be applied with a brush, roller, squeeze bot tle or mechanical roller. It can be pressure fed through equipment such as Valco or Nordson.
Do not use in temperatures below 15 degrees C.

Applications

Shake container before use.
Apply liberally to surfaces.
Clamp for 20 – 30 minutes.
Do not stress joint at least 24 hours.
Wipe off excess adhesive with a damp cloth while the adhesive is still wet.
Not suitable for below ground application or for continuous submersion.

Drying Time

Bondall Polbond 4000 sets in approximately 20- 30 minutes. Maximum strength is achieved in about 24 hours.

Clean Up

Do not pour left over product or washings down drains or sinks. Clean equipment in running water.

Precautions/ First Aid

It is recommended that normal personal protective clothing should be worn, including coveralls, impervious gloves and goggles. Avoid unnecessary skin contact and inhalation. Provide adequate ventilation. If swallowed, contact a doctor or the Poison Information Centre on 13 11 26. Give a glass of water to drink and do not induce vomiting.
